◆  Main Menu

[ START ]
 Starts the game.
→ STORY MODE  :  Start the game with your trained character.
→ RULE MODE  :  Start the game with fixed stats (arcade-game style).

[ PRACTICE ]
Practice only a portion of the game.
Practicing AREA5 and beyond requires reaching that area and unlocking it in the shop.

[ SHOP ]
Use the coins and jewels obtained in-game to buy accessories and more.

[ STATUS ]
Check your current stats. You can also change the accessories you have equipped and strengthen stats using crystals.

[ REPLAY ]
View the replays you have recorded.

[ CONFIG ]
 Configure the game's settings.

[ GAME DATA ]
View your progress, high scores, earned medals, and so on.

[ QUIT ]
 Exit the game.

◆  Graphic Settings

[ SCREEN MODE ]
 Sets the screen mode.
 →  HORIZONTAL  :  The normal horizontal-screen mode.
 →  VERTICAL  :  A vertical-screen mode.
→  ARCADE  :  A maximally zoomed vertical-screen mode in which moving your ship causes the screen to scroll horizontally.

[ ASPECT RATIO ]
 Sets the screen aspect ratio.

[ ACTIVE INFO ]
Sets the behavior of the information shown in the left/right areas of the screen in horizontal mode. Turning it OFF stops the info from updating during the game, but lightens the processing load slightly.

[ FPS CONTROL MODE ]
 Settings related to frame drawing.
→  BY VSYNC  :  Wait for the vertical sync signal before updating the screen (recommended).
→  BY TIMER  :  Update the screen using timer information without waiting for the vertical sync signal.
Choose this if the game speed becomes abnormally fast.

[ FPS ]
Sets the screen update frequency (Frames Per Second). Lowering it reduces the processing load but makes the screen choppier. It does not affect the actual game speed.

[ EFFECT LEVEL ]
Sets the amount of effects (explosions and sparks) produced during the game. Higher values make effects flashier but heavier to process.

[ EFFECT BRIGHTNESS ]
Sets the brightness of effects. If the effects feel too bright, lowering the value may make the game easier to play.

[ COIN LIGHT ]
Sets whether a light appears around coin items. Turning it OFF lightens the load.

[ COIN PARENCY ]
Sets the transparency of coin items. Making them semi-transparent can help when coins make enemy bullets hard to see. Setting it to 0 hides them completely and lightens the load (semi-transparency does not lighten the load).

[ JEWEL PARENCY ]
Like COIN PARENCY, sets the transparency of jewel items.

[ BULLET COLOR ]
Sets the color of enemy bullets. By default it is "FULL COLOR", using several colors, but choosing a value from 0 (red) to 24 (blue) to 30 (purple) to 35 makes enemy bullets a single specified color. Colors run from 0 to 35 in spectrum order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet).

[ BULLET LIGHT ]
Sets whether a light appears around enemy bullets. Turning it OFF lightens the load.

[ BULLET GRAPHIC ]
Choose the enemy-bullet style from normal (STANDARD) and low-brightness (DARK). If the normal style feels too bright, DARK can be easier on the eyes.

[ BULLET BRIGHTNESS ]
Sets the brightness of enemy bullets. Like BULLET GRAPHIC, lowering the value can be easier on the eyes, but it also lowers saturation, which may reduce visibility.

[ SHOT PARENCY ]
Sets the transparency of your ship's shot. Useful when the shot makes enemy bullets hard to see.

[ BG BRIGHTNESS ]
Sets the brightness of the background.

[ BG LAYER ]
Sets the amount of objects shown in the background. Setting it to "REDUCED" or "MINIMUM" hides background objects unnecessary for gameplay and lightens the load.

[ BG PARTICLE PARENCY ]
Sets the transparency of background particles such as rain and stars. Setting it to 0 hides them completely and lightens the load.

◆  Key Config

[ CONTROLLER ID ]
Sets the ID of the controller to use. If you have several controllers connected to your PC, you can switch between them here.

[ SHOOT MODE ]
 Sets the basic control mode.
 ●  SHOT AND SLOW (LASER)
→  Use the Shot button and the slow-movement button; while moving slowly, the shot switches to a laser.
 ●  SHOT/LASER AND FULLAUTO
→  Shot attack with the Full-Auto button. Holding the Shot button switches to Laser & slow movement.
 ●  LASER AND FULLAUTO
→  Separate Shot and Laser buttons; while the Laser button is held, you move slowly.

[ SHIFT MODE ]  (S Equipment only)
Sets the number of buttons assigned to Delayed Shift and Ethereal Shift. With 1 button, a short press toggles Delayed Shift ON/OFF and a long press toggles Ethereal Shift ON/OFF.

[ FRAME TO LASER ]  (only when SHOT/LASER AND FULLAUTO is selected)
Sets how many frames the Shot button must be held before it switches to the laser.

[ DEFAULT ASLT MODE ]  (S Equipment only)
Chooses the Assault Mode at the start (or when recovering after a hit) between Manual and Auto.

[ DEFAULT DIFFICULTY ]
Sets the difficulty the cursor starts on at the difficulty-select screen. Useful if you retry often.

[ DEFAULT CHARACTER ]
As above, sets the character the cursor starts on.

[ RESET CONTROLLER ]
 Resets the controller settings.

[ DECIDE / CANCEL ]
Sets the menu confirm/cancel buttons. For keyboard play these are fixed at Confirm: Z, Cancel: X and cannot be changed.

[ MOVE UP / DOWN / LEFT / RIGHT ]
Sets the keys assigned to cursor and ship movement. These cannot be changed for a gamepad.

[ SHOT / LASER / FULLAUTO / SLOW ... ]
Assigns the keys for the basic controls.

[ DS / ES ]
Sets the keys assigned to Delayed Shift and Ethereal Shift. The settings differ for the 1-button and 2-button cases.
